The Speedlite 580EX II is Canon’s most powerful Speedlite. A guide number of 58 (m/ISO 100 at 105mm) gives the unit an abundance of capacity for many shooting situations, including telephoto work and bounce flash applications. An adjustable angle of coverage is suitable for use with wide lenses to 14mm. It acts as a wireless master to compatible slave units, or as a slave to other Speedlite transmitters.
